Fashionable autumn wear? Yes please! The first time I laid eyes on FM908's double breasted coat/cape, I knew I wanted it. Too bad it's summer all year round where I live, I won't be able to wear them! Nonetheless, if you're in need of some new autumn wear, you definitely should check out her shop. Not only do they use the finest fabric for their coats, they are pretty affordable too compared to some other shops on Etsy. :) I want to migrate to a four season country so I can get autumn wear!

Around the World - San Diego, CA - The Modern Project

Coming from a family of woodworkers and furniture makers, (my grandpa used to make furniture for a living, and my dad likes to build things, although he did not pursue a woodworking career) I have a high respect for people that excels in this craft. Since I've dealt a little bit into woodwork when I was younger too and I know it is all hard work. So when I found The Modern Project, I was immediately in awe.

He doesn't have a lot in his Etsy shop, but every piece is a masterpiece. I love how unconventional the coffee tables look, and although it may not work for a lot of homes, it was something different, something unique to the maker himself - Curtis Micklish. You should check out their website too for more awesome projects!

Crafty Art Market Oct'11

Crafty Art Market happened last weekend again! I feel so proud as a team leader of Team Etsy Malaysia. The market itself is a collaboration effort between the team and the main organizer from Jaya One, and to see that it had lasted a year and grown so much, it just makes me feel so happy. :')

And oddly enough, I had become the market's unofficial appointed photographer? Since I do not have a booth (again) and was just a visitor, so I had time to roam around and take pictures! And trust me, it is a lot of work as well. What with the socializing with each booth owner and all.

So without further ado, here are some of the crafty things I saw at Crafty Art Market. :)

The rare appearance of Nottypooch! They graced us with their new brand Huey&Wah at this market. The super fabulous Michelle from Kindersoaps was also running a very generous RM500 lucky draw as well! Too bad I didn't win. :P

Around the World - San Diego, CA - ArchetypeZ

When I first encounter ArchetypeZ, I was totally blown away and I knew that I had to include her for my San Diego features. All her laser cut and 3D printer jewelry pieces are just so modern and cool! Especially the barcode cuff, that is my favorite. :) I also love the Because U Love Me ring and how the words pop up instead of laying down on the ring base. I simply adore how she designed her jewelry using just simple shapes like triangles and squares, creating such intricate and complicated pieces at the same time.
