More New Geode Pieces!

More geode pieces! I made some more new rings, however this time I made some simple but ingenious necklaces too with some of the geode slices with holes. They are so simple but gorgeous! Some of the smaller geode pieces that I can't make any jewelry pieces with, I had made into magnets. They are so cute too!

Unfortunately I ran out of supplies for some of these, so for now there won't be anymore geode pieces until I restock. Which hopefully will be soon!

Whales!

Since I featured sharks last week, I thought I'd do a feature on my other type of favorite large aquatic creature as well - Whales. In fact, I may love whales more than I love sharks! I love the story of Moby Dick when I was a kid. My personal favorite whale is the Humpback whale, what about you? :)

Tianjin Ancient Culture Street

Third city of the trip - Tianjin! We're only here for one day, much like the Chengde trip. And we're only visiting 3 places, most of which are about shopping than anything anyway. This was the first stop - Tianjin Ancient Culture Street. The second stop was a food street in Tianjin as well, and it wasn't as visually interesting so I didn't take a whole lot of photos.

Of course, there must be street performers on cultural streets! However, these two weren't really good because they change pose once in a while, they can't stay still for long.

These little piglets straddled on top of dinosaurs amused me!

4mm Pearls now in StarJuice!

Finally got around to photograph all of the 4mm pearls, and decided to make a rainbow chart of sorts, haha. I really love this little heart shaped sauce dish, so useful for small beads. As usual, I am in the midst of listing these into my shop. So stay tuned!

Chengde Mountain Resort

Our trip was not just within the Beijing area, but it included Chengde, which is north of Beijing beyond the Great Walls. (it was Mongolian land) As well as Tianjin. (which I will cover in the next post) The Little Potala Palace mentioned before was in Chengde, but there is also another attraction in Chengde - The Chengde Mountain Resort.

Unfortunately, it was not the peak period of travels, and most of the place was covered up for repairs and maintenance and whatnot. So the views weren't that great, it was a bit of a disappointment really. But I still took some decent photos to share here. :)

In the first photo up there is the famed Sledgehammer Peak, it's a natural rock formation! :D

Shark Week!

Since this week is Shark Week, I decided to do a shark feature! I had always loved large aquatic creatures, Jaws was one of my fave movies when I was a kid. My personal favorite shark is the Hammerhead shark, because I find them so funny! What is your favorite shark?
