More New Pendants!
I can't help it! They are easy to make in big batches! My favorite is the grizzly bear. Below are some pendants that I made with photos that I took and printed out myself.
Aaaaand I've been delving a little bit with laser cutting. Since I won a laser cutting voucher giveaway some time ago. These are brooches, and I will be listing them in the shop soon. :) What do you think?

Temple of Heaven
The visit to the Temple of Heaven was brief, but the setting sun shining gently on the building was spectacular! We had to walk pass a large park filled with seniors to reach it hahaha.
After the temple we went to watch an acrobatic show at a building in the middle of another park.

Capital Museum
I'm not too keen with museums but this was part of the optional tour everyone else signed up for so I decided to go around and take some photos anyway.
There was a Buddha statue exhibition in one of the halls, and the statues there are gorgeous!

Pandas
Can't visit China without seeing pandas! Actually we went to the zoo just to see the pandas hahaha. We didn't even explore anywhere else beyond that. Only about two was up and about, including the one above who was enjoying his lunch.
Others were like this, sleeping like a log.

Some of my Favorite Brooches
Ever since I lost my brooch by leaving it behind two years ago in San Francisco, I had been looking for the perfect brooch to replace it. My red coat collar looked sad and empty without one. Unfortunately that seller I bought from at Renegade Craft Fair does not sell online, if she does I just can't find her even through Google. So I thought hey, it would be fun to get a brooch on Etsy! And here are some of my favorites that I found.
First up, are wooden/laser cut brooches! Like the one I lost. (twas a very cool looking space gun)
Geometric Deer Brooch - SketchInc // Wooden Keyboard Brooch - bRainbowshop
Constellation Brooch with Ursa Major - TheTwentyFingers // Vintage Combi Brooch - SconnieAndJam
Next up, nerdy brooches! I'm a nerd and I cannot lie. Also, Game of Thrones is pretty awesome. I would have gotten the Night's Watch brooch if only my coat is black. Unfortunately I do not own a black coat.
The Night's Watch Game of Thrones Brooch - kateslittlestore // Blue Polymer Clay Brooch - madamaRobe
Hand of the King Wooden Brooch - Chuddywinks // Retro Robot Wooden Brooch - ladybirdlikes
And last but not least. Every other pretty brooches that I like that don't belong to the two above categories!
Mushroom Cat Polymer Clay Brooch - catmadecom // Miniature Kitty Brooch Pin - MountRoyalMint
Friendly Narwhal Porcelain Brooch - LilaRubyKingShop // Embroidered Fiber Brooch - SewSweetStitches

Summer Palace Pt 1
Summer Palace is a gigantic summer resort built by the Empress Dowager Cixi, one of the most fearsome empress in the history of China. The Kunming Lake actually covers majority of the area of the summer resort, and it was used to grow fresh water pearls to be used for cosmetic purposes by the empress.
I had wanted to make only one post for the Summer Palace, but there turned out to be more photos than I thought so I'm separating it into two. :)

Ming Dynasty Tombs
As the name implies, this is the burial site of one of the emporer's from the Ming Dynasty. It was... a lot bigger than I thought! I only got photos of the structures on land though, the tombs are underground and lighting is pretty terrible down there. Plus it looks more like an underground military site (empty though) than anything else.
The tour guide was giving us some warning (for fun!) about taking photos in the tombs, since we might capture something unclean with our cameras. I didn't, thankfully!! But my dad did!!! I don't know whether it was his camera's problem (he uses a cheap compact digital camera) or anything, but the photo was pretty eerie looking with white smoke and what looked like distorted fingers. However, a few nights later my dad had a nightmare and he deleted the photo lol!!
